  I took my dad and two sons out for an evening of fishing. Dave the skipper could not have been more helpful or accommodating. We caught bull huss, conger eels,... read more and pollock which we returned to the sea. We caught loads of mackerel which we used for bait and took some home for BBQ. We had a good wrestle trying to land some of the fish. Thank you very much Dave for a really special memorable evening. We will be back as soon as we can. Fiona

  5 of us went sea fishing with Kelly's Heroe we had a great days fishing, Ian the skipper is very helpful and he knows the waters very well.
To start... read more with we went fishing for mackerel which we caught enough between us to use for bait along with the squid Ian supplied we moved further out to sea to fish for other types of fish.
Everyone caught fish which included dogfish, (rock salmon) smooth hounds & tope, (the smooth hounds & the tope we put back in the sea as they are not edible) the best catches of the day were 5 thorn back rays which put up a good fight.
We would recommend Kelly's Hero Charters for good days fishing & a fun day out. Check out their web site

Dave did his upmost to keep us on the fish (where he was very successful) and also provided advice/assistance on how to catch them. His price is very good value for money and we would not hesitate to go out with him again or recommend him to others.

Despite being briefed the day before by skipper Dave, I managed to arrive at the wrong side of the harbour (my fault!) but not a problem, he quickly offered to pick us up by boat to save time, and avoid any bother...

Once aboard, skippers mate Craig sorted us all a brew and we settled in to a little Seal spotting before heading out to sea..

4 adults, 12 yr & 8 yr old are-we....

All inexperience amateur fisher people

Dave & Craig gave us all the tuition with seemingly great quality equipment, and a bag full of humour to help our 9am start at sea as fruitful as it could be

We were told to head for the bottom of the sea bed... but before we could reach it, 3 mackerel apiece on the line and WE ARE ALL CATCHING FISH!!! And yes... REAL, FLAPPING, FISHY FISH! 😂

1 hour in, my partner decides the sea is not her home ground, left her sea legs at home and she turns whiter than a grey white thing...

Dave and Craig were soooo helpful, offering whatever they could to ease things...

After 40-50 fish in the bag, Craig recanted us a few stories whilst filleting our haul... we came away with a good few kilo of mackerel fillet ready for cooking and DAM..... it was good 👍

Few hours later, skipper texts me to ask if the missus is any better with her sea-sickness...

It's those little touches that make the difference 👍

Would I book again...?

YES, and already planning next years venture 😇

  Cannot speak highly enough of Dave and Craig, took us out to some great wrecks for a lovely days fishing. Very nice boat, coffee and tea supplied and very friendly... read more and helpful. We were let down at the last minute by 'spot on' fishing, he came out with a pathetic excuse but it worked out better for us as we couldn't fault our trip on 'Kelly's heros'. They kindly took us on board after we had travelled all the way from Bristol to be let down at the last minute. If you are planning a fishing trip do not look anywhere else. Thanks so much.
